Privacy Policy

Card Scanner OCR · Last updated: October 31, 2026

This policy explains what the Card Scanner OCR app for iPhone and iPad does with information. In short: the information on the cards you scan stays on your device, and we do not collect data about you.

Card Scanner OCR is published by Roman Klymentiev, an individual developer based in Greece (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for this policy.

What the app stores on your device

Text recognition is done on the device by Apple's Vision framework. This information is not sent to us. It leaves the app only when you choose to save a card to Apple Contacts, export a CSV or vCard file, or share it.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting tools, creates no identifier for your install, and does not send data to servers operated by us. Follow-up reminders are local notifications created on your device.

Permissions

The app asks for camera, photo library, contacts, location or notification access only when you use the feature that needs it. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not receive your name or payment details. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the App Store.

Backups

Data stored by the app may be included in your device backups (for example iCloud Backup) according to your iOS settings. That is controlled by Apple and you, not by us.

Deleting your data

Delete a card in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Copies you saved to Contacts or exported remain where you put them.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
